ICICI LOMBARD PATHETIC INSURANCE COMPANY

Before few months( more than 8 months) I received an call from ICICI Lombard(**i don’t know how they receive my contact details as I never approached them for any insurance**) regarding my selection for health insurance. A big gloomy picture was created by telling me that I was among the top 20-50 customers who have been selected for the same. At first I got impression that the policy is free but later the executive told that my cc(credit card) would be charged on monthly basis & that I will be getting an free Health check-up Coupen which I can use for any of my family member whose name I suggest. then they confirmed my cc details & that they would charge my cc for monthly EMI for the same.

But none of the time the executive mention that there was some activation charge+ service tax which would also be deducted from my cc.( I thought they have selected me so it will be free). After giving confirmation I told them to give free health check coupon in the name of my mother which they said would come with policy. But later I didn’t receive the policy documents at all. So I thought they don’t

need me.

But after around 2-3 months some other executive called up saying the same old story that I have been selected by their company & that they would be providing free health check-up coupon. At that time I told the

executive that after my previous confirmation I am yet to receive any policy till that date & so he said that it would reach now.Again after 2-3 months they called up again with same story to which I dishonoured them angrily saying that I still didn’t receive any policy & that I am not interested. At then the executive said sorry to me & said that the policy was delivered at the wrong address & so I didn’t received it. After that explaination I was again in their bottle & told them to send the policy & gave confirmation of my cc. **All the above calls were from their ahmedabad branch till that day.

**Any time during all the calls they never said that my cc would be charged some kind of activation charges for the above policy. Now at last I received their policy but found no name on the health check-up coupen. So I thought let me contact their customer care numbers. So I called up at their Ahmedabad customer care 07955309877( which gets disconnected). So later called up at 9898277877 to where I inquired about this to the executive. Now here comes the catch. The lady executive told me that as I bought the policy

with my cc I would have to call up at either of the 2 numbers(Delhi call center numbers! **for policy issue call comes from Ahmedabad & for query the customer has to call to Delhi Too high** **on pocket**) for the same:

Note: **They call from Ahmedabad for policy giving but later when customer calls they end up saying that they have to call somewhere else using my own expense & fortune! Why don’t these cheaters tell all such things first when they issue policy of do marketing for the same? the numbers given to me were:1800222030( Toll free) you can try too.022(25456060)**So I first tried their toll free number from my home BSNL landline phone. The IVR got connected after 5 mins. But whenever I selected the option ***"talk to customer care executive" after giving all my details the phone got disconnected. This happened again & again. Later I called up at the other number from cell phone as I was getting desperate & so many thoughts came to my mind that if an customer has to do this much just to contact their helpdesk then.

What if I actually need them in future for Health Benefits? What would be the situation when I need them in REAL LIFE? Will they be able to fulfill their DUTY without any prejudice? ***The other number got connected at first attempt & there was lady executive. I bashed at her for the toll free numbers getting disconnected very often to which she gave reply "there must be some technical problem" after which I said her that I just want to cancel my policy as if it needed too much to contact them for an simple query then what would happen if I or my other family members would in real need them( I hope so not). As soon as I told her about discontinuing the policy that line also started to hang-up. I tried 2-3 times again and same thing happened.

At the IVR when I selected "talk to customer care" it got hangup. At last I again catch her up & then she put me on hold for 5 mins till I discontinued the phone. I have the voice recording in 3 gp format which I am providing you in attachment for hearing. **After that i called up again & I was then given my cancellation number for the policy.** Before Diwali Festivals I again called up at their toll free number but the situation was same.(Diwali gift for Customers-What is some insured person was hospitalized & needed their help for claim?)**RESULT: POLICY CANCELLED DURING THE FIRST 15 DAYS AT LAST.THANK GOD I AM SAVED.**ICICI LOMBARD IS bad bad & totally bad. they just want to sell you the policy. THINK ALL FRIENDS ITS YOUR LIFE & LIFE IS PRECIOUS. regards, Gaurang Patel**** ****
