My claim was rejected without any justification in spite of documentary evidence to prove that I did not hide anything at the time of taking policy. My wife had discontinued taking Amaryl 1 mg table for Diabetes since 2 years. My wife had recently undergone laser surgery for Varicose Veins and the claim was rejected saying that it is a pre existing disease.
What relevance does it have to diabetes when the actual problem was varicose veins in the leg? The claim is not pertaining to any illness caused due to diabetes if at all the insurance company claim although the diabetes have been normal since 2 years which the Test report is available for verification.
Under the circumstances being aggrieved of this decision I have filed case for claim in the consumer court and also simultaneously written Insurance Ombudsman Office for justice based on merits.
