For the past three years, I’ve had an ICICI Lombard Health Insurance policy(Policy no. 4034i/FPP/04600817/01/000, Card no. IHPN-06362115/01).
On May 12, suddenly in the middle of the night, some chronic pain occurred in my stomach. At that time, I was alone at home. I took a taxi and went to Fortis Health Care Mohali(15 KM away from my home).
I showed my card to the staff but they denied doing the cashless treatment. They said they can’t do the same; you have to pay for your treatment. In the morning, if they get the OK from Lombard, then they will refund my money. As per their feedback, in 99% of the cases, Lombard is rejecting their claims.
I didn’t have any money with me at the time, so I asked the staff to admit me and treat me because I was in a lot of pain, but they refused.
After this, I called the ICICI Lombard customer care many times, but they just gave some silly excuses and said they couldn’t do anything in this regard. I said please share some other hospital details from which I can get cashless facility as I am badly suffering from pain & their reply was they don’t know in this regard.
Then again, I took the taxi from Fortis at midnight and went to the IVY Hospital Mohali. Here also, they told me the same problem and denied the cashless treatment.
At that time, I was about to die due to chronic pain & I fell to the ground in the parking lot. The taxi driver took me to the Sector-32 Govt. Hospital. I was admitted here in an emergency for 2 days.
This was the first time in 3 years that I was going to use this card, which can’t happen due to Lombard cheating procedures. I also have never utilized the coupons that were sent with the policy. I wasted my money for 4 years.
Now the question is, what is the benefit of taking ICICI Lombard Health Insurance? These people are just fooling the customers by selling these fake deals.
When someone comes to the hospital at midnight, it means there is some serious problem. Nobody wants to go to the hospital for fun purposes.
ICICI Lombard is such a big company and they are doing these types of frauds.
Trust me: it was a very painful situation.
