ICICI iProtect is pure term plan which is good choice balancing both cost (worse than Kotak or Religare) and Claim Settlement Ratio (IRDA 2008-09 report). Buying this, however, is not easy.
Website requires you to use only IE and crashes very often. I’ve had to fill application on an average 3 times for each policy taken.
They contact you within 2-3 days to collect documents and then.....silence!
If you call customer service, they process medical-records (if required) and then....silence!
If you call customer service, then they decide decision on policy issue.
After a month, I am still waiting for my policy.
I am just wonder if company is so bad in taking my money in issuing policy, what will they do when they have to shell out money!
