Hey guys I got the accidental insurance for my dad who was 54 years of age back then. Its like a 4 to 5 years before and the insurance covered a return of a good amount. If the person dies accidentally than the return would be of rupees 5 lakhs and if it was a natural death than the return would be of 2 lakhs. The premium that I was asked to pay was 1000 per month and it was very unfortunate for me that after starting this policy and paying the premium for almost 1 year and 3 months my dad expired. So in order claim the insurance I personally went to the office and had a talk with the manager. The manager told me to provide him with the proof and the documents and I did so on his request and it was a natural death. So after a week a guy came from the insurance company to varify the scenario and went back. So after a few months we received a letter and a cheque from the company and to my surprise the cheque had just 11560 rupees. Whereas the premium which I paid was almost about 16000. So I went back to the office in order to know the reason they were just pissing me off with there bullshit excuses. And finally they told me me that my dad was sick before starting this policy and to my knowledge guys he was all good as they were the only ones to take the medical report.
So guys be careful before starting any policies especially from the fraud companies like ICICI.
