ICICI prudential has done the same fraud in my case as most of you are complaining. I had bought the Super Lifetime Pension Plan 3 years back and now as I am trying to surrender the policy, I have realised that they have cheated me out of a real investment because I am receiving less than what I had even given as a premium. Forget the interest and earnings and all that jazz. I am getting back less than even the premium.
Moreover, the branches cannot be contacted directly as guess what, conveniently, none of them have a direct number. You have to call and talk to the idiots at the call center who just keep giving stupid, irrelevant responses read out from some book. They have no context and no understanding.
All I wanted to know when I would get my duplicate documents(necessary for surrender) which I had applied for 7 days prior to my query. I was told by the branch personnel that I would get it in 7 days. But the call center exec just kept saying it will take 15 days or else I should walk into the branch.
Dont these ICICI idiots understand how difficult they make our lives? ICICI IS HORRIBLE. I am glad I decided to surrender my policy prior to this horrendous experience. As it is, I ran around for three days before getting a solid response with respect to HOW to apply for a duplicate policy. In any event. I would have surrendered it otherwise soon after this interaction because they are just a greedy conglomerate that is out to suck the life out of their customers.
Please take your money and run to LIC or one of the dependable but underrated ones like Franklin Templeton or Aviva or even Birla Sunlife.
