This is not a venting of anger against ICICI Prulife. This is an honest experience from me.
When opening any policy with them, they will be TOO much into luring you into false promises, which at later times, they will not be able to fulfill.
I was promised a deal if I open a specified policy with the specified amount. But, to my amazement, when the policy papers came, nothing was mentioned regarding the deal.
When enquired further, they were unable to provide the said deal. I subsequently asked to cancel the policy and refund the amount. Which they said can’t be done as the grace period of 15days had passed. In truth, it was on the night of 15th day that the policy documents were received. When threatened with litigation, they agreed to cancel the policy and refund the amount.
Now, they wanted me to be present physically, which I could not do due to my work obligations. If the time frame of 30 days passes, the policy can’t be cancelled, and I was not in a position to come home for this policy only, spending lots of money. I sent emails from the registered email ID, talked on phone etc.But to no result.
Later on, my guardian had to create a scene in their office to get the matter moving.
Overall, it was NOT a pleasant experience at all.
I would NOT recommend ICICI Pru Life because Insurance of any kind is a promise which has to be transparent, honest and ethical at every step.
