I have been using icicidirect since 2 years. With my experience with them I decided to write here.
PROS : 1. Website is very fast if u have good internet speed. 2) I haven’t seen any downtime so far during trading sessions. 3)website is very user friendly and can be accessed from anywhere.
4) the 3 in 1 trading platform has so much of convenience and I just love the way I can manage my money here.
CONS: 1) You can not put stop loss in cash and derivatives segment and I hate icici direct for this. This problem is not rectified yet inspite of so many complaints. 2) They demand for a margin of 20% or more for stocks in futures. 3) In futures day trading they charge brokerage while buying and also while selling which is not the same with other brokers who charge only once. 4) brokerage charges are high as compared to others.
Over all I feel icici direct is a good trading platform and I hope they will improve upon the CONS that I mentioned. I never felt the need to call customer care support may be bcoz the website is very user friendly and convenient. My mother, a house wife, 10th passed, is operating the website herself comfortably and making good profits.
