After my adventures with Indiabulls, I am on a new adventure with ICICIDirect. After 3 weeks of filling form for ICICIDirect, today I got my ICICIDirect account details, but details for my new icici bank account are yet to arrive. Fortunately (I have started believing in fortune after dealing with online brokers), I was able to login, though could not get past activation barrier. One thing I noticed is that the website is EXTREMELY slow to load, and you can go and have a cup of tea after clicking anything, especially during market hours.
This activate feature requires filling a form with your whole ’janm kundli’, and then fails saying some details don’t match their database. No response so far from their customer support. I am hoping that with ICICIDirect, I would not need to log a consumer forum case. Keeping my fingers crossed.
So my initial euphoria about online trading is gone now, and I am again looking for some online broker, who will simply allow me to trade without too much hassle, and which does not make me stare at the screen willing it to load up after clicking any link.
