After being referred by IDC, I got myself an interview at Apple. I attended the interview and got placed at Apple as a Business Analyst, in 2009. During the interview, I was told that the only place with a vacancy for the post of a Business Analyst is their office in Atlantic City. I used to work at Schneider Electric in New York before that. The moment I was told that I have got the job, I made up my mind to quit Schneider Electric and join Apple, considering the amazing company Apple is. The only problem was of relocation. I was helped in every way by IDC in the relocation process. Moving from one city to another, leaving everything, is never easy. But, what got me really happy is when I came to know that IDC covered all of my relocation expenses. This was a huge relief, considering the amount of stress I was in over the whole relocation thing.
Due to an extremely swift process, not only I was able to start my work from the first week of November(as I had asked) but also, the transition was magical. In the first week only I had realised that this was the best decision of my life and Apple is the best company I could have worked for. The strategy of the company was crystal clear and the projects assigned to the employees were quite significant. Pay scale for all the employees was maintained in a hierarchy and the pay used to get credited at a fixed date of the month, entirely depending upon the contract you were in. The way that IDC handles the routine pay is actually pretty great which makes an employee to give his best to the firm and be more productive.
One thing that Apple is quite serious about is how its employees are treated in the work environment. There are absolutely no manipulations done regarding the work and the company expects you to follow the same trend. The senior business analysts working at the firm were quite helping and I needed their help more than once. I was paid as per the industry standards along with the extra remunerations that were provided by the company time to time. The experience that I have had, working at Apple has helped me a lot and I have managed to get offers(not accepted any) from several other companies.
