I used the mobile number portability facility to shift from TATA DOCOMO to Idea, in hopes of good network service. I had stopped expecting too much, too saddened about the poor DOCOMO network. I am so disappointed by the dismal service provided by idea network.
Even when there is full network, I cannot have a clear call. There is always some noise or distortion. The other side can never hear my voice in the first attempt, even though I am screaming at the top of my voice. It takes not less than 2 attempts to get a barely acceptable network, with conversation frequently punctuated by’what? What did you say?’. The call charges are not low and Idea should be ashamed of the dreadful service it provides to its customers.
The 3G packs are super expensive and the calls selling ringtones and other’services’ are too frequent and disturbing. You get a large number of messages even after activating’DND’. My recommendation, stay away from this horror out a network. Anything, including living like cavemen with no network, will be better than this.
