IDEA is giving existing customer's number to all

I am a Software Professional from Pune. I recently took an IDEA Sim card from a sales guy, who deals with our companies corporate connections. I called him up and within hours he was at my office with form and no documentation required except - company id proof and photo.


He promised that the connection would be activated within 24 hours. However it has been 144 hours; the connection is not yet activated. On day one, he gave me a list of numbers out of which I selected 9881090526. The next day I get a call from the sales manager that my connection is activated. When I insert the SIM Card in my mobile, I get a message "Invalid Sim Card/Registration Failed"


I call up Corporate Customer Care Number 9822004999 to compain about my connectione not been activated and they inform me that it is activated already one month ago that too with somebody elses name. (I think Idea Ran out of numbers, so they are giving existing numbers to new customers)


On 4th day the sales agent again calls me up to select another number from a list he had. I selected another number and he promised he’ll activate it in 10 minutes as he is in the IDEA head office near INOX, Pune. It has been 15 hours since then, nothing happened.


On enquiring with my peers, I was made to understand that IDEA activation generally takes 10 days. And even if it is activated, you cannot enable any services like roaming, etc untill verification is done. I called up the sales agent’s manager and she said, she’ll call me up tomorrow and give me a confirmed date and time, when this would be activated.
