Idea cellular ltd is a part of aditya birla group and they have launched in tamilnadu and chennai with 4g services. The network quality is not satisfactory and Data speed is slow when compared with other operators. The 3G signal automatically disconnects as they have tied up with vodafone for 3g. They have launched 4g but no retailer can upgrade the sim as there is no stock available in the market. To convert to 4g we have to walk in to a showroom which is not available in all areas. The distribution of Sim cards, recharge coupons are not available in many areas. The network has lot of call drops, call disconnection, data connectivity. The customer service part is not satisfactory as the executives them self are not aware of tariff or schemes. Eventhough they have launched 4g and Ekyc process, most of the retailers are not aware of Ekyc aadhar link process in most of the areas. I would not recommened Idea because they dont have sufficient stock availability, no proper response regarding network and tariff rate issues.
