I have been using IDEA mobile services for past 2.5 years and was very satisfied with customer support and competitive rate plans offered by them.When 3G came to Hyderabad, I tried Idea Net Setter. I tested Tata Photon Plus, Reliance Netconnect, Airtel and Aircel. I stay at Lingampally which is at outskirts of city and so I was wondering about connectivity and speed. After testing all, I selected IDEA.
I tested it by browsing net, watching youtube, watching movie online, doing video calling, taking to all corners of my flat and running VPN application. I was truly impressed by speed. I tested speed using speedtest.net and got download speed as good as 3 mbps and upload speed as 1, 2 mbps which was twice better than other service providers except Airtel which was equally good. Tata Photon plus and Reliance netconnect are 2G so they can not match the speed. Then came on selecting tariff.
So, I selected 750 unlimited plan to keep bill under control. Also, I checked 3G circles of Idea where I travel often. It satisfied my need completely. To get 3G speed on my smart phone and 2 laptops, I bought Lava W 150 WIFI Router. Now, I am truly wifi with 3G speed every where with bill under control. Till now I found IDEA to be good idea !!
