In kannada Hogey means smoke. I was wondering why they have kept the name as Hogey or smoke for an Ice cream parlour but when I visited recently I came to knowthat it is a not a normal Ice cream parlor.
It is famous for nitrogen ice cream called dragon’s breath. They give wafers(four or five types of flavours) which we need to dip in nitrogen water for 10 seconds and keep the whole piece in mouth and eat it. It was a new experience for me. Nice to eat once or twice because wafer becomes very hard and tasteless after dipping in nitrogen water. Wafer will become like Ice cube and we will be getting smoke from mouth nose as it highly frosted after dipping in nitrogen. We can’t enjoy like eating ice cream. Nice to have the different experience of eating ice cream.
It is in Jayanagar 9th block, near Ragigudda Temple, Bangalore. Place is small and always it will be crowded. Price is slightly high for dragon’s breath ice cream but a new experience we can have.
