Though the movie is not based on a very new concept, as it dwells on the much utilized “déjà vu” formula, but still it offers you a “newness” which touches your heart. Paul Nicholls shares not just his looks with Jude Law but also his acting skills. He with his British accent is charming in the movie.
Jennifer Love Hewitt, though not my favourite when it comes to looks, has delivered a wonderful performance. She has portrayed the character of a typical chirpy little American girl who has lost her heart to a handsome British guy. It’s not her beauty but the sweet nothings coming from her that make you like her. And, not to forget an interesting fact, she wrote two songs, by herself, that she performs in the movie.
Touching upon the story, it’s about a guy who sees a bad dream only to find out the next day that the events that he saw in the dream are coming to life one by one. He is doomed as he just cannot imagine what would happen if the climax of his dream also came to life. He tries hard to tell her love about it but she does not believe it. He tries hard to escape the places that he saw in the dream in the hope that he could avoid those incidents, but in vain. He eventually realizes that one way or the other the things that he saw in the dream are going to come true. It’s interesting to know then how he changes the climax of his dream.
Last but not the least, if you can think with your heart and not your brain, the movie will surely bring tears to your eyes.
