@3rd Sep - Recieved the replacement today. Thanks to the good dealer who pressurized the folks at IFB, they have replaced my washing machine. I am grateful to the dealer, Mr Srikumar of Chandra Traders(Velachery Main Road). Thanks to all who read this review, ...btw, I am returning this washing machine and going for another brand(reason is poor quality and hidden costs). Probably to be fair to IFB , I should remove this review as I have decided not to use the product after my experience. Will remove this review on Monday!

Bought an IFB Elena DX Washing machine one week ago in Velachery, Chennai
Door didn’t close properly, unless the technician shoved in a screwdriver from one side. He took 2 hours to realise this problem.
Once the washing machine started water started spouting from inside, one of the pipes was badly punctured and water was gushing out internally.
I insisted I need a replacement. 2 Sales people rushed to my home, took photos of the washing machine from all sides and kept cursing their quality team. They assured I would get a new replacement. Please give us 1 week sir. We will get this done.
I complied, 1 week gone...no news from them. I called up...it took some time for me to remind the same sales guy of who I was. Sir, my senior says for such small issues we can’t give replacement. I gave him a piece of my mind. An hour later the second sales guy calls up and says.... My senior is out of station, I will check with him and call you back.
Left helpless .... wondering what to do!
