AMC paisa wasool

We bought the IFB Supremo Deluxe around 3 years back after using a semi automatic one for almost 20 years. The main reason for buying a new one was we needed a fully automatic one.And at Rs.20000 and the variety of features offered, IFB was a good deal, we thought.

However problems started just after the warranty period ended.First, the rubber belt snapped. Then a couple of months later the drainage pump had problems.Right now the bearings have gone bad, we are still awaiting repairs. All this with frequent sprinkling of the rubber belt problem.

The customer service is existent at best.First visit by the technician takes atleast 2 days.If a replacement is needed add another couple of days to your machine getting back to order.

Also once a month you need to clean the machine with a powder that the company provides-which isnt all the cheap either. You do start getting stained clothes if you have been lethargic about using this powder.

Regarding how the machine cleans..well its a washing machine and it does clean clothes. But lets face it-so does the daily help.

If hassle free washing is something you are looking after, well, this ones not for you.Even my mother, who initially called this the new beauty of the house now misses our old modest but excellent semi-automatic one.

All I can say now is the AMC is the only saviour, and thats bad news, isnt it?

Looks like IFB has gone terribly wrong with this one.
