I was really busy with my work but when I saw Amritas comment on IIM A people being arrogant and snob and dumb and wot not, I could not help but write on it.
I am not an IIM A product, management never interested me with all those manipulating tactics, but I have had many of my friends there at IIM A. Basically it was like 7, yes 7 of us from the class of 1999 of IIT D went to Ahmedabad that year. I and another one in Cadila and 5 in IIM A. WE lived near IIM campus so we used to meet very often. Believe me the schedule is really tought. They hardly get more than 4 hrs sleep anyday!! So it was we who used to frequent the campus. The guys were taught well and by the end of 6-8 months you could feel the difference. they had gained insights into diplomacy and were very suave, refined and persuasive in wotever they did. They were not bad , in no way!! I loved their company and they too havent changed till date. I also had the chance to interact with many poeple on campus and they all were very nice and cordial people, very helping too.
I guess its the perspective that counts. Some people get biased about something and then they get very pessimistic abt that stuff. The reasons I guess are personal but many times it is the feeling of inferiority complex. People who could not ake it to IIM A try to console themselves by blaming those who got thru with. The success and respect which iimites get may also be another reason. the list goes on.
Amrita, I know u try to very critical but just dont do it for the sake of being critical. Many people read ur review and so dont give wrong impressions.
Thats all I have to say, if any1 feels hurt I am sorry.
