Ok some of you have said that Windows XP requires a lot of memory and stuff like that. But please note that when I said that you should install Windows Xp I addedif possible. Windows XP has been found to manage memory much better than the previous versions. Regarding the problem with caching software. Free RAM isnt everything. We are not talking about free ram here. We are talking in terms of system performance. And you are correct when you say that DMA may result in bad sectors but these are extremely rare cases and these errors have been eliminated in newer hard drives. I have also mentioned that older hard drives do not support DMA. Regarding somebodys comment that viruses do not come from only e-mail attachments, they can infect your system from Web Pages too, I guess they are talking in terms of applets. Note that I have recommended a firewall for this.
