Nirvana - In Utero = Best & Last of Kurt

Impact of Songs On Me

1.Serve The Servants

This song has always been the kind of song that would make me very happy but depressed at the same time.

2.Scentless Apprentice

Is a great track to listen when you want to be placed in a strange state of mind.

3.Heart-Shaped Box

This is my all time favorite song of the 90’s because it takes me back to a place in my mind where I was always happy but yet depressed. The music is unbelievably hypnotic and soothing to my ears.

4.Rape Me

Is a song that I have yet to ever listen to in its entirety. Because the song is too vulgar for me to stand to listen to and is probably my least favorite song made by Nirvana.

5.Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle

Is a funny little song that makes no sense to me.

6.Dumb

Is a song making fun of getting high off glue. The music is ear friendly and pleasant to listen to.

7.Very Ape

Is an ok song lyrically and rocks as far as tunes are concerned.

8.Milk It

Is my second most favorite song on this album and is in my top twenty favorite songs by Nirvana. I always liked this song because of the killer tunes and lyrics are mind bending.

9.Pennyroyal Tea

I am not sure about this song it is just strange all the way around. The music and lyrics are warped and miserable sounding.

10.Radio Friendly Unit Shifter

Is a trippy sounding electronic guitar sound effects and warped voices.

11.Tourette’s

Is ok to listen to, but it is very difficult to follow; difficult to follow in the sense that lyrics are gibberishy and sound like some of Korn’s songs such as ’’Twist’’ and other various songs with undistinguishable singing.

12.All Apologies

To me is a very depressing song because it seems as though Kurt Cobain is singing a song of ’farewell till we meet again’. I personally do not like this song too much but it is a killer song to listen on the Nirvana Unplugged Album.

BACKGROUND OF NIRVANA

Nirvana, the legendary band that ended tragically due to Kurt Cobain’s suicide (on April 5 of 1994) and quite possibly the best grunge band of all time and the best rock band of the 90’s. Kurt has been named ’’Artist of the decade’’ by Rolling Stone and Spin magazine. Nirvana is one of the most well known, memorable bands ever formed. The music was a pure wave of talent, the voices, always to be remembered, and the sound of Nirvana, Nirvana started it all, from grunge rock (mastered by Nirvana) to the greatest rock hit of all time ’’Smells Like Teen Spirit’’. There were only 3 main members in the band: the lead singer, Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, the bass player, and the drummer Dave Grohl. Nirvana made 5 albums before Kurt’s death, each one went at least gold. One live album ’’Live from the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah’’ was made as a tribute to Kurt in 1997.
