Independence Day: Resurgence is an disappointingly inept movie which completely tarnishes the image of the previous part.
The first part had the user invested. The follow up is visually impressive and captivating but lacks the connectivity with the audience. The movie fails to deliver the viewer the experience as the first one did. It does not even come near to that.
The spaceships are bigger, the destruction is more but the director Roland Emmerich has failed devastatingly in delivering the sequel. Only Jeff Goldblum’s humour comes to the rescue.
VERDICT:
It is worth a watch just for the curosity of being the sequel and that too only for those who have watched the first one.It does not satisfy the scientific curosity and the visuals thirst of the audience. Its over the top action sequence and absurdly grand visuals is aimed to impress the audience which it even doesto some extent. So all in all its definetly not a must watch but sci-fi fans should give it a try.
