India gate is one of the beautiful monument in Delhi which attracts thousands of tourists every year. India gate is located at the rajpath in New Delhi. It is not just an ordinary gate but it is a war memorial. This gate is designed by Edwin lutyens. It established in 10 February 1931.This gate is a memory of 82, 000 soldiers who lost their lives in first World War in 1914-1921.You can also see the names of those soldiers imprinted on the gate. This gate is approximately 42 metre high. It looks phenomenous.
Not only this there is Amar jawan jyoti or flame of immortal soldiers inside the India gate which is lighted throughout the year. Whenever you go there a feeling of patriotism surrounds you. You will definitely feel proud to be an Indian. India gate always looks beautiful but in the night it really looked spectacularly different. There are beautiful gardens around the gate we can sit there and enjoy the view when the fountain get started and colourful light make it more unique and different . But before a month of 26January the management won’t allowed you to sit there because of the security reasons.There are not any restaurant there but there are many ice cream trolley there so you can enjoy that. Must go there once in your life.
