Very well written!

I am not into a lot of reading but I do take interest in India - Indian Economy, Indian History and how the Indian Politics has taken its shape since yesteryears. I was eager to know a lot about these and was looking for a reliable and trustworthy source from where I could gain knowledge about the same. A friend of mines suggested this book by Mr. Gurcharan Das -’India Unbound’. Without any hesitation, I ordered it on-line and got the book delivered to me in a week’s time.

Having read it thoroughly, I must say the book has it all. The author has been very chronological and gave a detailed picture. He started with his background and related each and every instance of his story to India. He gives a very clear picture of what was the state of India’s economy and politics during the British rule, how it surfaced during the Independence and what was the scenario in republic India.

He has thrown light on the growth of various industries and how few others doomed. The story of the rise of stalwarts like TATA, Birla, Ambani, Godrej and many more  is clearly depicted in the book. One can get a clear picture of what India was and what it has been over the years. The author has also described about the 1991 crisis and recovery phase post that, along with his personal suggestion for road-map ahead.

I doubt whether there is any other book in the market that can depict Indian history, economics and politics in a clearer and more presentable way. Read it and learn more about India. Jai Hind! Cheers!
