The agent bugger named Shivaji based in Bangalore Jayanagar Branch was a disgusting fellow. He told me hundreds of things about him as a relationship manager, but the bugger never turned up once I gave him the cheque and form. I wanted to fill up the form but as it was a long one he told he would do it himself so that the chances of getting rejected decreases. I had put around 50 signatures on the form. I believed that bugger and handed the form over to him. This was the biggest mistake of my life.
My account was full of mistakes. Instead of Individual account it was made as a corporate account on which annual maintenance charges were high. Shivaji Bugger had assured me that there were no AMCs or yearly charges. My e-mail account was updated wrongly and there was no nominee. Thank God he did not put his own name as a nominee.
I call him a bugger because he used to bug me up almost everyday by calling me before opening the account. But after filling the form he did not even call me once to confirm the details. He put all wrong and incorrect details in the form due to which I am not able to operate my account.
When I sent an e-mail(from another ID to India Bulls) marking a copy to the bugger, the India Bulls’ rascals replied back saying that I have to download some forms, sign them and send it again to them. For every share certificate being delivered they charge us even courier charges, but in our case will they pay the courier charges. Moreover the time is being wasted.
Therefore I would recommend you that do not go through agents while opening a Demat Account and always insist on filling and reading the complete form and charges. If the agent tries to stop you, just slap him tight enough so that he does not do that again. Do not countersign in any other space other than where space has been provided. This is because they may use the countersign to change the information.
Be careful because its your money.
