Indiamart.com is hardly helpful for a highend B2B

I am a paid customer of Indiamart.com and I use it on behalf of my company, which provides end to end store solutions to branded retail stores- precisely store fixtures, POSM and prints.


Our problem is that there are many vendors, who are manufacturing similar products but their rate is too low because of the products being of lower quality.


Most of the time, Buyers’ approx order value is also not so high, for a provider like us. At some instances, my team also found big differences in the order value e.g, we saw a Buyer order value of 100 pcs worth 50 Lacs, but when the buyer was contacted he responded with a fewer quantity worth a few thousand rupees only. So, we have bitter experience.


My finding tells that, on Indiamart.com a majority of such buyers come who look for very very cost effective products and service providers. I mean they don’t give so much priority to the quality, and that is the reason we couldn’t have served a single client yet, in a period of our paid subscription.


Analyzing Indiamart from various facets, I found that is is not suitable for our requirement. It gives only one advantage that we feel that we have subscribed to a channel for promotion.
