What does one say about the Indian Army that other, s have left out? There is not much that has been left out. The only thing is, that in my opinion the Indian armed forces (army, Navy and Air force) are about the only institutions left in our country which most people trust.
I have had relatives in the army who are retired now. I have been on an army exercise in Kashmir with them. I have stayed in an army unit in Ladakh for 8 days. So I have observed them closely. One of the most striking features of armymen is that wherever they are, they never seem to forget a batchmate. Even if they contact each other after years, the old ’feelings’ for each other are still palpable and I have seen that they go out of thier way to contact each other and to help each other in case of need.
We need more citizens to join up and feel the importance of being in the armed forces of our country.
