I know I am supposed to be writing about the Indian Army but I did not get the topic to write about the government so I am sorry for that and I hope to get your response over my idea of changing our system.
This review is an attempt to change the system in which most of the people have decided to succumb to. Its being ages since we had a flawless government and its almost the time to stop and think that are we going on a totally wrong track?? Do we have to find something better than democracy?? Well I believe that there is only one thing better than democracy and that is a slightly altered democracy.
If someone happens to question us the type of economy we have, we reply as ‘mixed economy’ .if asked what does it mean, we reply that it is a economy which takes the good part of both the capitalist economy and the socialist economy .I want to ask if we can alter the two economies and make a third economy which suits us more than the other two economies, why can’t we do the same about our government?!
I believe that we can combine the two types of governments (the democratic and the military) to make a better system for ourselves. It is not very difficult to do that. As we have teams called Services in various tournaments in various sports like cricket, football, hockey etc . We shall have a separate group of people from the three defense services namely The Army, The Navy and The Air force which will constitute to a single party like the Congress or the BJP. And the common man will have the right to choose whether he wants the disciplined, well educated and people dedicated towards the nation’s security and integrity to govern the state as against candidates from any other political party. If the Services party gets the majority, it will govern the nation for 5 yrs and those candidates who were elected from other parties, which did not get the majority, shall constitute The Opposition to keep dictatorship at bay. The other operations like passing some bill or some thing will be done in the same way as it is done now and the only difference is that more responsible people shall get opportunity to govern the nation.
Admittedly, there are quite a few flaws in this system, since an effort to amend the Constitution cannot be made single-handedly, in an hour, especially by a 17 yr old boy. However, this is an earnest effort to take the first step towards a new direction and then let the experts make necessary amends to it. The public can only bring this change since the politicians will not purposefully bring a third party into existence when they themselves are having a great time? The most important thing for any kind of success is the art of adaptation. Hence we should keep on adapting ourselves to newer solutions if we have to be successful.
