Hello everyone.
I watched two episodes of Indian Idol ll and I must say it really was a waste of time.
They say it is a show where latent talent is given that (elusive) recognition.
To start with, I believe the singing skills of the contestants are not that great.I believe that all of the contestants can make it big in films, for they act so brilliantly that they really deserve a round of applause .(if u ever watch indian idol dont forget to clap ).
I dont know if I am correct but, I feel that most of the singers are not that confident.I say this because they tend to sing at a pitch where they are relying more on the music than on their singing skills.when anyone sings both the music and the verbal part of the song should move together supporting each other.
And the contestants are not good looking by any stretch of imagination.
When you give it the name INDIAN IDOL there must be some thing to talk about , as far as the looks are concerned. MINI mathur looks a lot better than all the contestants.
The biggest question that arises every time you watch indian idol is ’’what has a choreographer got to do with singing’’???????????
Talking of anu mallik’s shayari’s -- to be honest I have never understood even a single shayari(by the way I am not that good at hindi).
I also have one doubt about the voting method.By selecting sms as the way to vote I feel, they have started out by giving a bit of an advantage to the people who are basically from the metros.Most people who vote would do so in support of a participant from their home place.
I firmly believe that sony will come up with indian idol 3 and I am interested in a show where not just the singing skills but everything that is required for stage shows is stressed upon.
Any way I hope that the most deserving candidate wins.
