Struggle of a Vendor

This may come as a shock to you as most of you buyer are cribbing about dealing with Indianroots, let me also give a helping hand in the complaint box.

Im a vendor from Chennai and I run a very small online boutique that has very selective Indian-made and hand woven materials and fabrics.

I contacted one of the executives from Indianroots. And to my surprise, the response was super immediate. He very quickly made agreement with my company. Till date, I think thats the worst mistake of my life.

I was asked to ship all the materials in a span of 2 days. With great difficulty, I managed to arrange the material package, printing and shipping. I took a PEC from DTDC, which was double the cost of the normal charge.

Until that the executive seemed very supportive. I even was sorry for the delay of 2 hrs in shipment( now let me take back that). What was promised was: a good slot in the front page, daily maiers, facebook updates and ads creation. How stupid I was to believe that nonsense talk and had sent my materials worth Rs. 70K

After a mega gap and weeks delay in posting the pictures and launching two brand pages-under different category, I suddenly see that the brand ad was disappeared from the page in a span of 5 hours and there was no ad on the second brand age at all. Out of which, one brand age was totally incomplete.

Next day when contacted the executive, no response( well u know what happens, he never picks up. That simple, I say). And the day after that I was told there was some problem and confusion in the site and it will get updated.

So far, there is no update in the mailer, website, facebook and from the executive too(of course).

Now, I sit and wonder whether I will get back the products or should I go to gurgaon to collect it. My life in ruins.

Everyday, I see the stock not moving, it gives me a mild heart attack. Next time, you buy something. always think about all the struggle the vendor had gone through to make the product reachable to you. With all the losses incurred and their cut throat margin, nobody could survive.
