NONE OTHER !!!!!!! ALAS !!!!! What a fool am I !!!!! and DAMN !! my indianness....i still managed to forgive what the site had previously done to me ..... and guess WHAT ? It gave me the same thing back again ...and in what rainbow colors (the colors that I see in the stars circling around my head).. I dared to enter my id and password and clicked ’’Login’’ and what was the weird thing I saw ...too many weird things ...... a half-block of ’’TOP HEADLINES’’ ..something abt ganguly doing on the fourth day of the ....(’’Related Advertising Links’’) ... this is fine , I tell myself...and wait to be ’’automatically redirected’’ to my mailbox.... and well I wait...and wait ...and wait...and wait..and..well u get the picture... and I cant wait anymore...and do the dared and forbidden thing ..I click on ’’CLICK HERE TO GO TO INBOX’’.... ’’Ha !!! U FOOL ...that is not where the Inbox is ’’ TRICKED U AGAIN ..i hear the site shouting in my face....so I wait and wa...... hoping that me (the poor mortal) will be shown some mercy.. 6 minutes past and still waiting.... so I go thru
the entire login and ’’click here..’’ rigmorale again and again...
and this time the prev record is broken.. it keeps me waiting for a longer and longer duration before finally it can say ’’Page Not found..’’ Well its not all bad...
what did the site do ..it just wasted some of my time ...the same amt of time in which I parallely checked 3 different email accounts ..went thru abt 35 email msgs, replied a few.. got my forgotten mouthshut password back... well there was a silver lining to this....somewhere in the middle of all this ...i actually go thru ...it showed me the page with all those links at the left ..1 said ’’Inbox’’ , the other said.. .u get the picture and guess what it showed in the middle ..
’’Page cannot be found..’’ ...why did it have to go searching ..it made me wonder... Anways I dared click on ’’Inbox’’ with the hope that I may help it find something which it could not display..... and guess WHAT !!!!!! No , it didnt show me my inbox ...it told me something like ..’’The message cannot be found.’’
Hope Indiatimes manages to find the lost mail...i pray... and I pray for all of you too ..who like me like to take risks in life by using the Indiatimes email service... and tell u what this aint over yet ...I’ll be back .. just one more thing...please take ’’India’’ out of the ’’Indiatimes’’ please... here we are at home and dont mind being embarassed ..but lets not make a fool of ourselves in front of the entire world... Also MOUTHSHUT ..can we please get something lower than a WORST rating for such special things in our life..
Around 4 - 5 days back I logged onto check my mail on indiatimes and I managed to almost killmyself !!!! After an so-so start (bad UI , slow response times, REGULAR sunday server shutdowns and irregular speeds.....and I still call it so-so..) indiatimes mail service looked like it would just manage to ape yahoo in terms of services that it would provide ...(not the quality , mind u ). But it manages to shock me , every now and then , still ... As I was saying around 4-5 days back, I logged onto the indiatimes mail service and suddenly , instead of my usual list of mails that appear , all I get to see is a single message that says something like ’’Welcome to Indiatimes mail...’’ and the content of the mail welcomes me for activating my mail box !!!! Mind u this is for a user who has been using this service atleast for a year now... Well the first thought that came was ...oh , ok , just one of those idiosyncracies that these guys keep on doing all the time... so let me just ignore it and get down to work ... so I try to locate my mails ...the ones which I had decided to reply !!!! the ones which I had so sincerely come down to a cyber cafe to REPLY !! well SPOOF ! , all GONE.... had abt 300 mails , ALL GONE .... 2 personal folders , all gone !!!! All the email id’s embedded into those emails, ALL GONE !!! So I console myself and say ...ok those contacts MUST be these in the address book..i did take the effort fastidiously and well it is going to pay off now... but BAM !!!! no contacts either !!!! Well , I think this has given me a shock which will probably last a life time (hope it does not hang on to me till the next incarnation..) Wonder what the word for such a shock or phobia is .. Anyways, being such a nice netizen , I managed to send across 3 mails till the time of writing this sob story to the FEEDBACK.... and I guess BACK there these guys must just be FEEDing themselves on my misery !!! So All Ye , B ForeWarned... By All means use indiatimes mail service , but do so at ur OWN PERIL .... if u think that the time and the money that u spend on the net is worth nothing , definitely use Indiatimes mail... if u think that all the mails that u receive from ur near and dear ones are nothing ...then please do definitely use Indiatimes mail... well , am still waiting for those guys out there to reply ...will definitely let u know the next episode of this sob story !!! {If there is one } Enjoy ! :) Hi again.... Am writing this , when another window (internet explorer) where I tried logging onto the Indiatimes mail says Either your session has expired or you have logged off. Please relogin. DNS Error:Couldn’t get IP of Host. Reading this reminds me of ’’10 more killed in the Jammu Kashmir firing headlines’’ like its there , but people have stopped reacting to it !!!! Its expected... Very sincerely I have logged onto Indiatimes every day, hoping to get a reply to the feedback (4-5 of them actually...) An painstakingly I watch the inbox and see absolutely nothing (except some news mail service which Indiatimes has started....) and the ads which they send across.... [One piece of advice to all those who are advertising with Indiatimes mail service....you dont want to be seen with them !!!!!] All I ask for is my mails, my registration information contained in those mails and all those names and addresses of people in the address book and I promise that I will not take any space on your email server , not even 1 kb... Thats all I feel... For all those of the adventurous type , there is nothing great about para-gliding, or even jumping off a building...Try communicating using Indiatimes email service and will realise what a strong heart is all about... Am still trying to login and well , Guess what ??? They changed it !!!!!!! Now all I get is ’’The page cannot be displayed’’...atleast saves me from false hope and typing in my password !!!! Well guys, thats tata for now and for all those out there still using Indiatimes, Beware !!!!
