Indiatimes the most ''devolved'' email

I have never been able to sign up with this account till today. I have always got some error or other when trying to sign up. Recently I wanted to send an email to a friend of mine who has an com account with indiatimes.com. I sent the mail many times but my friend never recieved it. We both were online and chatting on yahoo messenger. I was telling my friend to keep clicking the refresh button made her clean the history and do what all. Then my friend gave me the password and told me to login into the account and see if the mail had reached or else open another account in hotmail and send it to that. I then logged in the next day no sign of my mail. I then opened up a new account in hotmail. After two days my friend logged into indiatimes just to check any mails as she had not given out her new address. My mails were there....6 of them. Then she mailed me something important and it never reached my mail account. After that it reached my mail account 3 days later. Then another mail was sent from indiatimes again as my friend forgot to use the new hotmail account. This time my friend clicked the reply button on one my emails. That mail was never found again. Now I keep loggin in to check any mails and forward it to my friends hotmail account. As I have a broadband and indiatimes seems to be only opening in broadband connection of 256k and above. I was having problems using it at reliance webworld which promises 128 but nowadays thier speeds are lower. I keep logging in to the account to search for the mail that dissappered as it was a very long mail and a lot of time was spent writing that and my friend did not have the time to write it again. When I logged I kept facing timeouts. i.e. after a certain time the connection is reset byt the indiatimes server. Then if the page hasnt loaded properly then javascript doesnt work properly in firefox(which is a better and the most web standards complaint browser ever) latest version. I wants able to check all the mails at once and when I press the delete button nothing would happen Then I noticed the worst problem in indiatimes you get these offers from indiatimes partners everyday around 10 -15 mails from hdfc loans to sharekhan and many other companies and blocking these addresses doesnt seem to work. There is not option to even unsubscribe from these offers. These are forced emails from indiatimes. Even hotmail has these but you can go to the options and deselect all of it. But I searched the entire option of indiatimes and found none. Then I tried to send them a feedback because I know that nobody bothers to do so anywhere atleast they will know that their email sucks. But that also failed I got the following message:- Bad Referrer - Access Denied The form attempting to use FormMail resides at https://infinite.indiatimes.com/feedback.htm, which is not allowed to access this cgi script. If you are attempting to configure FormMail to run with this form, you need to add the following to @referers, explained in detail in the README file. Add ’infinite.indiatimes.com’ to your @referers array. FormMail V1.6 © 1995 - 1997 Matt Wright A Free Product of Matt’s Script Archive, Inc. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! Indiatimes is using a free feedback from script which is not configured properly. I am a webdesigner and know exactly what the problem is here. All amature webdesigners struggle with this error they forget to enter ’’referrers’’ in the script. you dont have to a proffessional to know tha the mail was not sent because it say Bad referrer as the error so using common sense you would know that it is a simple mistake which the indiatimes admin or web team have not even bothered to test. The infinte box technology email of tommorrow(i am being sarcastic here) uses a free feedback form script which is aimed at ppl who create websites as a hobby on all these free webhosting accounts like geocities etc. And the last and final proof that this email sucks totally is when I sent an email and sent a carbon copy to the indiatimes account(just in case) I got a mailer dameon ( this an email message you get when an emails server cannot accept your email for whatever reason) The message that came back said that the particuar email address did not exist on the indiatimes server. And I checked and rechecked for a typing error but the address was perfect My last words stay away from indiatimes. If their web team is so bad I would say also stay away from their hosting too. Not only do the emails you send dissappear but some mails get sent after a day and the indiatimes server doesnt accept some mails too. And it is very slow and is always under some maintainence all the time. The space offer is not novel as yahoo also offers 1 gb and then you have gmail which offers more than 2gb of space. Then there is hotmail whos interface sucks but is still reliable. Hotmail offers 250mb only to america I guess so the trick is to sign up and give your address as america and then after 15 days go to the options and change you address your 250mb still remains. I havent mentioned rediffmail as that is another nightmare when I have the time I will write about their internal server errors.
