Never purchase haier products for peace of mind

COMPLAINT ABOUT HIGHHANDEDNESS AND STUBBORN ATTITUDE OF ELECTRONICS APPLIANCE COMPANY "HAIER"


The chronological details are underlined:


On 25th July 2010 I purchased split AC of 1.5 tonnes from HAIER’s local dealer LOKPLAZA(Lokwani sales ) Gwalior. It was told that it is the best in the market blended with Hitachi compressor.


In Aug.2010 it lost cooling and swing functions. A compliant made to local dealer who straight away forwarded me to Haier Local service centre M/s Alpha electronics.The problem was resolved in 10 days. Thereafter due to winter season the AC was not used. In March 2011 when I started AC, there was no cooling , for which I lodged a complaint on 30th March 2011 at Lokplaza Service Centre and toll free No.18002009999 The complaint resolved on 16th April . On 2ndMay it once again lost its cooling and again a complaint made to all the places .The Mechanic told us that there was problem of gas leakage, and he has to refill it. On 14th May the gas refilled .On 9th June the AC again lost its cooling for which several complaints were lodged with a request to replace the AC as it was a defective piece. On 18the June when I talked to Haier Bhopal Office they assured us that let them try a last time and if problem persists they will replace AC with a new one. On 21st June again gas refilled, but again lost cooling. On 27th June the service centre people tookaway the Unit and reinstalled But the very next day it lost its cooling.I once again lodged complaint on 2nd July and once again they took away unit and reinstalled it .It again lost its cooling in a few days and till date it is not working .


Got annoyed by all the events, I verbally, and through legal notices made several complaints with a request to replace the unit to M?S Lokplaza , Alpha electronics and on toll free number but they now totally ignored my complaints .I, thereafter filed a case before consumer forum in Oct.2011.


On 16th Apr.2012 the case was awarded in my favour and Forum in its order instructed Haier and Alpha Electronics to replace the defective AC with a new of the same Model and if not available then to refund cost together with a compensation Rs.5000 against losses and mental tension .


The order dated 16/04/12 has come to the knowledge of Dealer , Haier and Alpha electronics but even after the passage of more than one month Haier and the service centre has not complied with the orders of Consumers Forum .


This series of events shows that the said company and their service center are adopting stubborn attitude. They have no respect and regards for consumers protection forum .They did not care of customer after the goods sold and money is collected.


The sizzling summers of Gwalior is most notorious and incomparable .In this season the air conditioning is must and the hope and faith after expending a lot of money is shattered . I am expressing my grief in brief with the words that "do not go for an AC or any electronic appliance from M/s Haier who has no respect and care for their customers. The role of local dealer M/s Lokplaza who projects themselves as consumer friendly was also very regretting as they stood as silent witness in this case and not made any kind of pressure on Haier to help me.
