I had an evening engagement in BOM, and in no rush to catch an eraly flight or a late flight, I chose a noon flight to BOM. IndiGO was the perfect match - And the price was right :)
I had breakfast at the hotel, I had called in merucab the night before, so at sharp 10AM the driver was at the lobby. From Secundrabad (hotel by the lake to the HYD airport was done in 34 minutes flat. Checkin was breezy as there were three checking agents and only two passengers ahead of me.
After security check, I grabbed a large coffee and a cookie and settled by gate where Indigo was scheduled to arrive. The plane arrived about 25 minutes before its scheduled departure. I estimated the total number of passengers boarding this flight to be about 25. Since the plane already had passenger from elsewhere, finding overhead space for baggage was a minor hassle. The plane took off on time, and as we reached cruising altitude the FAs rolled out a cart with for-pay snacks and beverages.
I was engrossed in the Deccan Chronicle’s local chit-chat news. The aircraft arrived in BOM about 5 minutes to spare. Two buses schlepped us to the arrival hall. Welcome to Hot & Humid Mumbai.
