Highly unprofessional behaviour.

This was the worst experience I had with Indigo and inspite of being a regular customer, I have decided not to travel in Indigo my entire life. My check in luggage was 10 kg extra as per Indigo norms(Total= 30Kg, and Indigo allows only 20kg). While I tried to reduce it, I couldnt manage it. I had carried same weight 30kg in Indian airlines a week before. The checkin counter executive refused to waive off and charged me for the extra weight.

The flight was 2 hrs delayed due to weather condition, and I had to cancle my connecting flight and had to pay the charges and bear business loss. I told them that already I have suffered because of the flight delay and that they should consider the Excess Luggage. They said we are sorry and we cannot help.

The flight was a connecting flight which was coming from Jaipur, and this was not mentioned anywhere( the travel portal) so I was offered 2 seating options - either a middle seat or the galley seat in the last row.

My concerns are -

1) Being a female I planned my timing to reach a destination which was safe for me, a flight delay got me me in a unsafe time zone( the original flight was to reach at 22hrs and rescheduled 24hrs). In this situation if I get into any kind of mischap who will be held responsible.

2) When you know that a female is to board the flight, how could you keep center seat vacant? Again is it not the responsibility of the airline to ensure respect and safety of their female passengers. Airlines shd learn from the Bus services, they will bear the loss of an empty seat but would not make a male sitting along with female(two unknown people).

3) I suffered financial loss of cancellation charges of my connecting flight and had to buy the new one at a higher cost. Who will be held responsible for this?

So I got interested in finding out the law which gives permission to these airlines to keep in stake the security and respect of the female travellers.

When a passenger faces financial loss due to delay/cancellation of the flight, there is no rule or policy, while all the policies are made which pours money in the pockets of the airline. In my case they did not realised that I have already suffered loss and they could not consider 8kg weight( I was told that they can exempt me 3 kg, which was eventually not done).
