Good, but could have been better

Here’s an overall feedback of my first experience with IndiGo.

  1. Booking: was done through travelocity so not relevant for IndiGo. One thing that would have helped would have been the ability to book infant tickets through the web.

  2. Schedule Changes: The schedule of my flight changed between the time I booked the original ticket and the time I went and bought the infant ticket. I noticed it on the infant ticket printout. It would have been nice to get a proactive sms.

  3. Flight change: For some reason IndiGo changed my flight(MAA to DEL) from the morning(0845) to an evening one(around 1930). Again this was done without any intimation. Luckily I had the printout of the original flight and the airport staff were able to rectify the issue.

  4. Airport staff: Extremely helpful. The previously described experience was a lot more bearable because of the airport staff’s helpfulness.

  5. Flight staff: It was great to know that the flight had an all-woman crew and even better to know that they did not make a big deal of it. The flight crew was very polite and friendly.

  6. Aircraft: Comfortable.

  7. The flight took off and landed on time.

Overall the experience was mildly positive but the thought of 2 changes happening without any intimation is not a happy one and may prevent me from choosing IndiGo over another similarly priced airline.
