What's in a name?

Situated along the Tamil Nadu- Kerala border, Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary, covers an area of 1000sq. Km. It has animals like elephants, gaurs, tigers, panthers, wild boars, bears, porcupines, spotted deer and civet cats that are abundant in this region. It is also the home of Nilgiri thar (ibex) and many exotic birds.
