Painstakingly showing one of the darkest phases of post independence India, the director did a good job by recreating India of 1975. While the movie was basically about the Indu Sarkar the main protagonist of the movie and her struggle during the emergency period.
Madhur Bhandarkar tried his best to show the pain that Indian democracy has gone through. While few times felt editing could have been better . Music was okay but I am glad that someone had shown the courage to show us the glimpses of the Emergency period which the present generation is unaware of. Must watch if you like history. Nice storytelling about the fate of Indians during the emergency!
