The search for gift for close friend took me Infibeam a few weeks back, and I made the biggest mistake of ordering a mobile phone from them. Once the order is placed, the system promptly displays a shipment and delivery date. I only realized later that these dates dont mean anything to anybody at Infibeam. Since this was a bday gift and the day was nearing, I started mailing and calling their CS team. Now comes the fun part - each conversation with them threw up a different answer. One said - the mobile is already shipped, the 2nd one said - we might ship it by EOD today and another one said - give us 48 hours and we will update you!!
As you may have figured out, they have no clue as to what they are committing to a customer. After a dozen calls and half a dozen mails, the mobile was finally delivered, delayed by 5 days. Now it turns out that the mobile is defective. The Bluetooth and Wifi have stopped working within days of usage. I am now in a messy tangle with them to get this replaced or money refunded.
I’ve shopped online on various e-commerce sites. None have managed to go as low as Infibeam.
