Order not delivered- Done after MouthSHut review

Order: 8674310Sub Order - 17417276 I buy a lot of products online. It saves me time not to run to shops as I always am busy with work. I used to use COD, but it was causing me to run to my office reception every time to collect orders. So after some good experience with Letsbuy, Flipkart and ebay, I always pay upfront and send it to my company address where the staff collect it with the company seal.


Believing Infibeam was not short of anything but crime! I am yet to receive the book ordered by me on Feb 29th. The promised delivery date was March 9th. They have not even send the book by now. I constantly followed up with infibeam customer care - the reply I get is wait for 24 hours! I waited for 100 hours like that!


I telephoned them today - again they asked me to wait for 24-48 hours!


If you give a commitment to a customer please uphold it! If you promise a date, please try and adhere to it. Or atleast communicate to the user that you wont be able to deliver on time. That is what is called service!

Seeing my review on mouthshut.com, Mr.Joy from Infibeam contacted me - I asked him to either cancel the order or get me a solid date on which he can deliver the book. He asked for 6 hours and promptly called me back in 3 hours to inform me that they are unable to source the book. He offered me the cancellation of the order and credit back the amount to my account - I received a mail from ccAvenue that the merchant has initiated a refund.


I am waiting for the refund.


Mr Joy also added 100 infibeam points to my account.


I wont say I am delighted with the whole episode, but if you happen to get through the low rung in customer care, it seems like they have some responsible ones up int the ladder.

I ordered a "used" copy of the same book(which is shown as available) through them again - This time the order number is 8712197 and the delivery date is April 25th. The date looks like a safe under commit - but will write about that episode too. - March 15th

Received the cash refund in my account - Amount credited is Rs.289. Actual amount towards the order was Rs.315 - Sick! Writing to customer center again! Pathetic! - March 19th

STAY AWAY BY ALL MEANS!

I was given Rs.26/-(the difference) as prepaid credit. Being lured by the fantastic service by Mr.Joy, I repeated my mistake -


I ordered another book through them on March 26th! Today was the promised date of delivery.


I checked their website for the status of shipment and found out that it is not yet shipped! -


Order: 8737793


I called the CC and asked for Joy. The response from CC was the person named Joy is not avaialbe and they are searching for the book in local market! OMG! If they are unable to find the book they will refund the money in 2 days!


Wonderful - These kind of services should stop - they are the ones who spoil the name of online shopping. .


Mr. Joy helped me - Increased the rating to 3 star.
