I have been in infosys since past 2 and half year. Let me tell you my personal view about Infosys. I will say infosys is the best company in india to join as fresher.
Let me tell you why. When you will be selected in infosys, you will join infosys at Mysore. A place where you wanna stay forever. Beautiful campus with world class facilities and awesome accommodation. It can’t be better than this for the first impression. Now in mysore, you will be given training and more or less a culture as if you are in collage again with earning. Lots of funs groups and all that will happen at infosys with learning a bit( may be you will learn the things which you will never ever learn in your collage life). Here one clause is that you have to clear exam within certain criteria so you don’t have any other option rather that clear those exams. But at the same time you will learn a lot. Every weekend you can able to see latest released movie in a high class theater for free(you have to be in line for couple of hours for that;). All sports included football, cricket, badminton, tennis and even bowling is available for you if you want to avail. After completion of training you will be posted to one of infosys development center. Now as a employee you will get opportunity base on your luck(Purley luck) to work on a technology and in project.
I can say infosys is a very employee friendly company. With work, all cultural activity going on here. Based on your interest, you can be part of any activity like dance, singing, drama, sports, swimming etc. Now lets talk about working culture, you are allowed to wear casual. You can avail 9 days of work from home in one month which is around half month almost. Ratings, exposure, learning opportunities, onsite opportunities these all depends purely on your luck your project and your manager.
May be pay scale of infosys is somewhat low but as a service based company I think its best in market. I couldn’t find any reason for now to leave company other than good hike outside. Its a very good company
