Innovative Film City - Complete Review

It’s around 1 Hr drive from Bangalore City  very near to Toyota Plant at Bidadi. You need to take a left turn approx 1-2 km after the Kadu Mane restaurant which will come on your left. Sign boards are also there to guide you to IFC.  Just follow the sign boards.

(You can have the breakfast from the Kadu Mane restaurant. Good place to stop. It’s a pure vegetarian hotel and the breakfast has got many varieties)

Once you take left turn, then there is good road till IFC. Look for the big humps. Once you reach near to the Toyota Plant gate, take a right turn and you can see the Film City. Car Parking is outside only. There are people to assist you with parking and directions.

Once you get inside the IFC, it a nice environment with modern construction and European style Buildings. Entry fee is Rs.50 per person. Camera charge is Rs.100 and Handy Cam is 150. After passing the security check, you will be in the Main Street. This is designed as a shopping street, but shops are yet to open. We could see only a Bata showroom opened and it seems it may take anther 2-3 months time for other shops also to come up.

One minus point is that you have to take individual tickets for each attractions(Not like Wonder la where one single ticket will cover all rides n number of times). Also here ticket rates are costly.

Dinosaur World and Fossil Museum - Entry Fee is Rs. 50 + 25

Preferably don’t go! There is nothing much to see here. They have made some small forest kind of atmosphere and there are few big dinosaurs inside.(Of course they will turn and look you!). Don’t take small children inside and they will sure get scared(and of course expect a non stop cry as well) because by seeing all this and hearing their sounds! Also there is nothing much in the Fossil museum except the chilling AC!

Wax Museum -Entry Fee is 50 per person

Good place to see. There are a good number of wax models. Also as there was not much rush inside, you can easily take photos as well. Remember to turn off your flash to get a good picture, if you are taking only the wax model photos.

Ripley’s Believe it or Not -  Next to Wax Museum. Entry fee is too high. Rs.100 per person. So didn’t want to go there.

Mirror Maze - Best place to see. Once you are inside, it’s very interesting as there is no much light other than the small red lights they had put on the walk ways and the mirror reflections!  You won’t be able to find the exit so easily. There are lot’s of mirrors inside, three/two side walls and you won’t get to know if it is a mirror or it’s a way forward unless you touch it and feel…In 5 minutes you feel that you got lost there.! Best part is that you will definitely come across people  who is already lost and looking(desperately!) for exit. Most interesting part if that this will not be one time, you will keep on meeting same people again and again, as they are also lost, and you are also lost…! We have seen same people more than 10 times. And of course got company with them. This is a place where people surely will get lost for directions, as there is no clue how to go outside. You see only mirrors and red lights(In 95% Darkness) and feel that only you are there, unless you meet similar lost people come across some times. I have seen(heard) people calling  Where is Appa…where is Amma…!(My only doubt was how they came out finally.!)

After 15 minutes struggle we could see some curtain opening with little bit of light and moved in that direction.  Finally reached exit! Security at the gate told this is the entrance and you can’t go outside this way.! Very good! After 20 minutes of rounds, we have reached at the same place we have started.!  Now we took it as a challenge and keep on going. Now we have seen that number of(trapped) people inside is increased. New faces.(Where is our old friends? Seems got out someway!) After 15 minutes we got the exit. We couldn’t simply believe that we got an exit.  Finally.!

Entry Fee- Rs. 50. Worth. Enjoyed it.

Miniature City - Entry – Rs. 50(Waste)

Miniature models of Airport, NICE Express way, Eiffel tower and Big wall of china, etc. Nothing much interesting

Time for Lunch - We got inside the food court. Lot’s of small shops and you will get most of the regional specialties. We went the backside raw and found a place where you will get good Biriyani’s.! One full Tandoori Chicken, much quantity and taste(Rs.130)+ Biriyani(85)+ Butter Nan’s(20 each) and Dal Fry(30). Overall good food and good taste.

Lunch is over and we couldn’t walk(or even get up) from there. Food Quantity was too much compared to what we had expected when ordering…! Sit there for 15 minutes. got up. Next destination Cartoon City…!

Cartoon City-  Here you have got few interesting rides.  Each ride is 30 Rs. You have the dashing Cars(Interesting of course when you get some interesting people to dash), STAR war and some other rides. Overall good place to spend some 1 Hr time

Aqua Kingdom - Here they have got Artificial Beach etc

I must tell that this was the biggest disappointment we have got. We all packed our “Beach Dresses” and was ready to jump into water from 3 PM to 6 PM. and once we reached there and went for tickets, they have told that it is closed from 2:30 for some party.! Too bad, everybody got angry. Why they don’t put a board saying that Aqua kingdom will be closed at 2:30 PM.? Why they didn’t inform us about this at the entrance. why there is no information.? True. They should have informed us about this in advance.

Haunted Mansion -  Again my big disappointment. I always wanted to go to some daring things and I was excited to go here whenever I see the information there at main gate. But when I reached there, I was told by the staff that this will come up by only 14th Aug… Anyway looks like real promising!(By seeing the building and all.)

FunPlex - Here you have got lot’s and lot’s of games…and a 4D theater. Ticket rate was too high, 16 minutes film  is 100 Rs per person, so we were not that much eager to see it. Let them bring the ticket price down, then we will see it .

Games are lot more interesting. I have seen people playing games in Jeep(with artificial road simulation) and in bikes! Have good time!

Snow Park -Not yet started.!

Go Carting -  Good place. Here you have got sports cart(1 person can go) as well as Family cart(2 people can go). It is 6 laps and there are people to manage the lap’s. Sports cart is fast and really challenging, where as family car is slow and may not that much interesting(for the onlookers.!)

Cost – 150 for Sports car / 6 Laps,  200 for Family cart / 6 Laps

Overall Feedback

This place is just started up and much people don’t know that this is opened. So there is no much rush. You can have a good weekend break here…(Except the very high ticket prices). Still construction is going on and it seems some more rides will be open by Aug-15th. Overall it’s a good place for a family outing. Enjoy!
