We live in Golf Green in Kolkata.South City Mall is very close to Golf Green.If necessary we can walk down.Fame has a multiplex on the 2nd floor of South City Mall.My parents are nearly eighty years old.My sister lives in Canada, she is a citizen there.Whenever she is in Kolkata we watch a lot movies.Even otherwise whenever there is a good bengali or Hindi movie the whole family catches it at Fame.Its because Fame is so close to where we live that my parents can actually go there.
The staff at Fame are okay.We book our tickets online at bookmyshow.com.When we go to the multiplex we are required to carry the credit card used online.That’s a little tough sometimes.Tickets are definitely very expensive.We generally catch the matinee show.There are five halls, hall no. 5 is the worst.We don’t eat at Fame, everything is double-triple the price.I have had a cold drink for Rs 60/- and coffee for Rs 80/-.
Unbelievable but true.The decor is good I guess but the waiting area has only few seats.Tough for seniors.Inside the hall, the seats are good.There is a gold class lounge but we have never purchased gold class tickets.For the gold class there are expensive sofas in the last row.Some strange rules.You enter through the gate at the bottom and leave through the gate at the top.So you enter on the 2nd floor but leave through the crowded third floor food court.And the food court is always full of rich, well-dressed people who give you nasty looks.In the end its really the movie that matters actually.If that is good everything else falls into place.
