A Noble profession of Chartered Accountants

The Chartered Accountancy course is a three and a half year course. Earlier, the Course Syllabus was divided into three distinct stages of qualification namely Foundation, Intermediate and Final. The Foundation Course was for students pursuing Pre-university education while the Intermediate Course was for students pursuing studies during and after graduation.One students pass the Intermediate Course, they automatically would qualify for the Final Course. The Ca exams are usually held twice a year, in the months of May and November. The present system encompasses A three-tier study system namely PE1, PE2 and the final course. The students have to do Articleship under a qualified practising chartered accountant. The subjects that have to be studied in the Ca Curriculum include Direct and Indirect Taxes, Accountancy, Company laws, Financial Management and Auditing. Therefore, in the final analysis, the noble profession of Chartered Accountancy has to be pursued by budding students considering the various academic programmes and extracurricular programs, the good administration offered by the branches and the wide network of CA Alumni.
