I had a really bad experience with this so called professional Mover & Packers. I used their service to relocate my household and car from Delhi to Chennai in Sep, 2008.
They had charged me 21, 124 for the relocation of my car(Alto) only that includes 14000 of transpostation, 1500 for handling at origin/destination, 3300 for insurance and 2300 for service tax.
Household stuff was delivered in good status and almost on time. My car was delivered after more than 20 days and in exterimaly bad condition.
They lost my original car key and I was handed over with a duplicate key which was not working properly. I realized my Car was drove for a longer distance(more than 100 km) with some heavy stuff loaded into it. It has lot of scratches inside as well as outside. Speedometer and Odometer was not workring. Stero was not working.
I put a claim of Rs. 5500/- for all these damages, but I was paid Rs. 1900/- only for the replacment of the car lock set and that too after 2 months. They told me rest of the claim will be settled by Insurance Co. Yesterday only(after 10 months), they reverted back to me that Insurance Co had rejected my claim without providing satisfactory reason.
I don’t know how I will proceed on this as I don’t have any paper proof with me. I didn’t asked for the report from the survayor.
I would advise that anyone using any Movers&Packers for Vehical reloaction, should keep most of the documents like a pickup report, surveyor report etc to avoid such a hassel.
