I booked IRCTC comfort package for my Parents to help them Visit Shirdi, Shani Singnapur, Nasik temples. The only benefit of this package was the confirm AC 3 tier tickets. The hotel which they have provided was very bad, AC was not working, room service was very poor, even the hotel staff were very non-coperative. They even did not supply drinking water.
Next day, one driver was supposed to come at 8 am to take to Shani Singnapur, Nasiks Traimbakeshwar temple, Muktidham and Panchwati and in evening drop to Station at 8 pm. The driver came at 10 am and started saying that Diesel is not available and will search for Diesel and then start. Finally he started at 11 am and started saying that we will not be able to visit Muktidham and Panchwati as the train will be missed.
The food provided by the Railway canteen at the time of return, this quality of food should not be even eaten by Cows and Buffalos.
I do not understand when IRCTC has planned the Itinerary well in advance then why the question of filling diesel on the day of travel arises?
The total tour cost was Rs. 5400/- per person. A simple calculation shows that total tour cost was of only Rs. 2500/-. Railway is making 100% profits on this type of comfort package, still such a poor service?
I was just thinking where Government is promoting "Incredible India", if this type of service are provided to foreigners also, what image will they have for India?
