Surprised not Shocked. yes it was round the corner for quite sometime. better late than never. it has finally been decided. Though many would feel it a decisive statement by court, but for masses it is justified. Our society and culture is not one where anyone can expect everything with a simple contradicting word of ’Freedom’.
As it is a known fact, that children and women constitute a major portion of television watchers in INDIA, it is very obvious that these movies would adversely affect the mindset of future of INDIA. The adults of India and I mean to adults who are employed, generally get time only in night, which again is consumed in other works, reducing time to watch television.
The very name of Adult movies start with ’ADULT’, which means made for adult. If adult dosent have time to watch, then there is no meaning in broadcasting such movies. These kinds of provoking movies were only going to destroy the base of our culture. Thus, i firmly opine that, the ban on Adult movies on television is ’JUSTIFIED’.
