Despite of a weak, or for the need of a better phrase a run-of-the-mill script, ishq vishq manages to hold its own for a enjoyable narrative. the excahnges are witty and real and the characters lovable.
ken ghosh at times goes wrong and attempts a tad excessively dramatic execution style but has overall left an imprint of his own. the film is chromatic and the costume designing along with the art direction are in perfect sync. ghosh succeeds in creating a youthful yet tender ambience with a good support from anu maliks music. [ with love love love worth a mention for its choreography and true to life lyrics ]
shahid kapoors character is somewhat unstable but he performs affably. amrita rao has given a natural performance. infact, payal, her character because of her purity and innocence could easily have been treated as the protagonist but the director decided to accentuate on rajeevs aspirations instead. yash tonk as rocky triumphantly manages in raising af ew laughs.
ishq vishq is a typical frothy flick, a vibrant take on a teenage love story in the milieu of an urban college campus and sails on smoothly to a happy and heart warming ending.
