Now let’s accept that Thursday is no day to go for a movie, but here I am, stuck with my boss n colleagues to watch a movie which has a star cast I can’t stand. Well, I couldn’t say NO to my BOSS and man! Am glad I didn’t!
To be honest I have never really liked Shahid Kapoor and have always dismissed Kareena as an over rated actress. ’ Jab we met’ is not my kind of movie but like they say, ‘a change is better than rest’ so it was rather nice to put my taste through the test. Well the story is absolutely untrue, but still you somehow feel connected. A daring girl(who loves to chase trains) and a depressed guy(Looks Cute though) meet in the train and miss it and the story goes on…
Geet(irritatingly talkative girl) has only one dream and that is to “Get married” and still till the end of the story she is too confused to recognize the right match(Aditya – The Rich n Famous) for her. The first half is very hilarious and second reminds you of a fairy tale. Somewhere in the middle you feel that it’s getting slow but then songs keep you tuned. I liked the songs the best, especially ‘Tumse hi’ by Mohit Chauhan. I will leave the technical details to the experts and would just say, if you want to escape the heat of this world at least for few hours and don’t want to apply your brains on things like the story n plot and all that, I think in just 150 bucks it’s not that bad a deal.
