Different , Refreshing , Lively , enjoyable .....are the words which can best describe Kareena and Shahid starrer ’Jab We Met’ .Frankly speaking I have never been a great fan of kareena and Shahid but this was one of the great performances from both of them , especially Kareena.She played her character so naturally .One can easily make out the hardwork and effort she put in to induce life in her role and movie as a whole which she definitely did.Though storyline is not that great but remarkable role play by both of them and excellent dialogues makes it really refreshing.
Shahid has complemented Kareena **very well in the movie.He has also matured in as an actor.
Movie begins with Shahid left totally deserted , shocked and speechless as the girl he loved is married to someone else.He’s rich businessman but his father expired and mom ran away with some other person.
He in this shock boards a train to Delhi where he meets this chatterbox and stupid but sweet girl Kareena ( Geet).....shes going to her homeplace Bathinda .Already shocked by past incidents, Kareena’s unstoppable talks is too much for him and he gets down at some station.Kareena too gets down and in all this misses the train and puts responsibility on Shahid for missing the train.
Somehow both of them reaches Bathinda (lots of interesting incidents inbetween but they are to watch...you will enjoy it) where her parents are looking to get her married.She already had plans to run away to Anshuman in Manali whom she loves.She takes Shahid along but Anshuman betrays her.
By the time Shahid comes back with refreshed energy and puts his life and business on track.Kareena totally down by betrayal starts staying in working women’s hostel in Shimla.When Shahid comes to know that she didnt return back to Bathinda with Anshuman, he rushes to Manali where he mets Anshuman.Somehow he finds Kareena and tries to patch up between the two.But in the end Kareena realizes she loves Shahid and not Anshuman.......though storyline is simple but characters role play puts life into it
Songs are also pretty good , espcially ’Yeh Ishq Haain......’...my favourite.Others songs also pretty good.
